HOUSE OF GABRIEL

The stately old white house that takes pride of place in the centre of town is the spot to taste Tweed fresh produce and take in picturesque river views

Open for breakfast through to afternoon tea there’s a delicious selection of house made cakes and really good coffee.

Hot tip they crank up the wood fire pizza oven on Fridays nights- enjoy a river sunset with a local Husk rum or Stone and Wood beer.

TUMBULGUM HOTEL

The Quintessential village hotel, the Tumby Pub has the best seat in the house with views for miles and a wrap around balcony to suit.

There’s a breezy open air beer garden and counter meals on offer from your classic schnitzel to fish of the day.

It’s where the locals meet and is a friendly old fashioned pub with a strong beating heart.

STAMP & GRIND

This hidden gem popped up in the old Condong General Store and Post Office and is a short 5 minute drive from Tumbulgum.

Perched underneath the historic (working) sugar mill there’s charm aplenty at this roadside cafe. Choose from an array of house made treats, organic coffee and local artisan wares.

It’s the community post office with a cafe twist, Stamp & Grind is a must see and taste experience when you visit the Tweed Valley.

THE PAVILIONS

Theres a new marketplace in Terranora town a 10 minute drive up the hill from Tumbulgum with an array of eateries, shops and hotel.

We choose to take out from the Inky Squid a mix of fresh seafood and tasty salads. Ink Squid is adjacent to the community square with live music on the weekends.

We couldn’t walk past new Wildfire Trattoria a traditional Italian Eatery with house made pasta and delicious desserts.

The iconic fruit world with that big avocado has opened its farm to the community for fruit tastings, foraging and fresh cafe delights.

Try the avocado five ways for breakfast and a jackfruit rump burger for lunch or grab a picnic basket and stay awhile amongst the Avocado Orchard and Cactus Garden.
